I talked about this a little in Tina's post, but I don't want to hi-jack her thread, so I'll start one here for me. Noah is 10 months old today and we have been briefly discussing #2. I'm BF Noah about 6 times a day and we plan to continue until he is at least 1 years old. At that point, I plan to stop pumping and he'll get cow's milk during the day and hopefully continue to BF at night and on the weekends. I have NO signs of AF returning anytime soon. I am not on any meds other than prenatal vitamins. Technically, I just started a new job and would like to be here for a few months before I spring any pregnancy news on them, but I honestly don't think it will happen when I want it to so I want to start planning and figuring things out now.
A brief history (if you don't know me already):
After being diagnosed with PCOS while TTC #1, I was put on metformin which did nothing by itself. Then I was put on Clomid which also did nothing. I never ovulated, never got a period, never got a baby. So then I started doing monitored cycles and we realized that with clomid, my eggs get bigger but never release, so I started doing trigger shots. First cycle was BFN (but I actually ovulated), then I had a D&C for a polyp and the next cycle I had another trigger and it was BFP. I continued metformin and baby aspirin until my third trimester and haven't been back on them since.
Now that I know more about PCOS, I've been trying to watch my weight and exercise and I am down about 10-15 lb from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm starting to slowly gain it back (need to kick it down again).
Sorry so long, but what do you guys think I should be doing??? Should I be taking metformin again? Should I try harder to lose a lot more weight to help my chances of having a regular cycle? When can I start actually seeing medical help? Can I get trigger shots while still BF or will I have to completely wean first? TIA!
