For some reason I thought that after getting pregnant my facial hair would go away. Sadly this is not the case.

Maybe as the pregnancy progresses it will? With more hormones and all? Sorry I'm clueless about that...

I've heard that it *can* slowly go away throughout pregnancy. Maybe in a few weeks you may see a difference??

I bet in a few weeks when your placenta takes over you will notice more difference.

I've only had light facial hair issues, but my head hair falls out in clumps, when I am pregnant it doesn't! it is so nice to have nice thick hair for a few months.

Sorry for the delay on a response. I don't actually get on my computer very often. Mostly do all my online stuff on my phone and the board doesn't play so well on a mobile browser.

Yeah I'm hoping that maybe later it'll decline some. I'm only 9 weeks so there's still PLENTY of time for the hormones to change things.

Hopefully you will soon see and feel a positive difference once you begin having more hormones regulating out with your pregnancy....

I've had several friends tell me that they absolutely felt thier best while pg because of the way it regulates your hormones, where normally we PCO ladies don't have that luxury!

I hope so too. I mean I don't feel BAD. And my primary PCOS symptoms were irregular periods (well, um, no period for quite some time while pg), weight gain (always been overweight, so perhaps not exclusively because of PCOS) and facial hair. And apparently dandruf? There's a video that I posted on my FB today that mentioned that dandruf can be a PCOS symptom.

Anyway, even if the baby doesn't do anything for my PCOS, I don't care. I'm just happy to be having it.

Just thought I'd try to spread some hope on this. I was DX with PCOS after TTC for over a year. I now have a 13mo little boy, and am TTC#2 again with PCOS.
However back to the point. It took a few months into my pregnancy, but my facial hair issues did get much better, and didn't return until about 3mo ago after I had stopped nursing. So maybe it will just take a little more time.

Awesome. Maybe I'm just still too early to be getting that positive side effect! LOL

Best of luck on TTC!

Well... 16w with no stop in sight for the facial hair. *sighs* Oh well. At least it's not like I have to shave every day. I do once or twice a week. And that's the way it's always been, knock on wood.
