Hi everyone-

I have a very unusual situation. Last week, an RE did an ultrasound and found that my ovaries are covered in cysts. He did a bunch of bloodwork following the ultrasound, pretty sure that I have PCOS. The very next day, I found out I was pregnant. I found out today that my bloodwork came back with increased androgen levels. I have not had a glucose test. Since I was pregnant before finding out about the PCOS, I am not on any medication.

My RE basically said that since I was now pregnant and they didn't treat me for infertility, they would be sending my test results to my OBGYN and I'd have to discuss it with her. Last week at 9 dpo, my progesterone came back at 10.4. At 12 dpo, my progesterone was 13.4. At my insistance, my OBGYN prescribed Prometrium, but she only prescribed 100 mg. of the oral pill. For any of you who have experience with pregnancy and PCOS, here are my questions:

1. I have read that miscarriage rates for people with PCOS are 45-60%, though they are not exactly sure why. One theory is that clotting is a factor. Were any of you put on baby aspirin? Should I ask about it?

2. It seems like my progesterone prescription should be higher....What do you think?

3. Do you think I should be seeing a high risk doctor?

Thank you all in advance for your help. I'm just so scared.
