My first gyn appt went well last friday except for one hitch. Am asked to come by 14th week to check if i need cervical cerclage. Am dead afraid of it now There was no new thing other than this piece of info that my gyn said. The usual take care, eat well, listen to music sort of advice and that i need to gain a minimum of 12-14 kgs during my pregnancy. I still dint get my due date. My next appt with her is on jan 2nd. Am praying i dont need this cerclage.

I have 2 things to ask u all:
1. Has anyone undergone this cerclage stuff? Please help me.
2. How to calculate the due date?

I found this web site for you on cervical cerclage, I hope it helps. It's http://folsomobgyn.com/cervical_cerclage.htm

And If you go to http://americanbaby.com/ab/duedatepredictor/ and enter the first day of your last period, it will give you an estimated due date. DR's don't always know what day a woman ovulates so they always go from the first day of your last period.

Hope the info helps!

Amanda
