Yea! We went to the DR on Friday and we saw our bean's heartbeat! We also got to hear it and it was wonderful. I couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear! I'm a little concerned because it wasn't beating as fast as I thought it should be though. The DR said everything looked good for being 6 weeks so I guess it's ok. We go back at 7 weeks (Thursday) and then if everything is still ok, we'll go in at 9 or 10 weeks for the first "official" OB appt.

You got to hear the heartbeat at 6 weeks? wow that's wonderful! I wouldn't worry too much about it sounding slow. They speed up pretty quickly. At my six week appointment we could see the heart was beating strong, but the tech couldn't quite get a measurement. At 8.5 weeks the rate was 171 bpm. As long as the doctor isn't concerned, I'm sure you bean is fine.
