1st u/s scheduled...

I just got the letter today from my OB that my first u/s will be a Level 2/Fetal Echocardiagram. Anyone know why they would do this without cause? I will be 9wks1day on June 11th (day of u/s) I was hoping to be around 10.5/11 wks because my cousin who is a nurse said with a Level 2 they would be able to determine the sex! Oh well, maybe there will be something to peek at even so early! Anywho, just wanted to update! I am so excited to see my baby!!

That sounds strange to do it so early on. I had one with DS but I was 24-6 weeks. (I would have to look it up) It is very clear and detailed. I cant imagine what they would be waiting to see so early on.

Either way GOOD LUCK and YEAH FOR ANOTHER PEAK!!!!!

This is what I was thinking, I never had one with dd, but did with ds at 21 weeks. I think maybe because I refused the 1st tri blood screen? I have no idea!

I refused all the blood screens and no one has advised to get a scan. Is there any other reason? Maybe its just the doctor. Maybe with it being a while they want to confirm health before you are too far along. Sometimes it matters to people, I have always been the type to let God's will provale.

Either way I really pray things go well and baby is healthy as they come!

Thanks! Yeah, I really don't know. Other reason could be because my lmp was 03/07 which would make me 11ishweeks and I didn't ovulate until 4-22 making me 7 weeks tomorrow. I was completely surprised by the level 2 thing, but as long as I get to peek at a healthy baby I don't care why they are doing it!
