Well up to this point my pregnancy has been going great. Very few symptoms and the baby seems to be developing normally. Unfortunately I had some bleeding on sunday and monday morning. It was brown, but enough to freak me out and send dh and I to the er at 4:30 monday morning. As it turns out I have placenta previa, which means the placenta is over my cervix. I'm on modified bedrest, aka I can putter around the apartment but no working or extended walking, until the condition clears up. I have an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon at my ob's office and hopefully things will be improving. I told dh that it figures I'd have no complications due to my existing conditions and instead be blindsided by something completely random. heh.

Thanks!

I had an ultrasound at my ob today. I guess I don't have placenta previa, but I do have a low lying one. Right now it's very close to the cervix and some of the blood vessels are hitting it, causing the bleeding. Thankfully the tech is confident that the placenta will be out of the way in a week or two and then I can resume normal activity.

She had a hard time measuring the baby, it was very squirmy, but finally managed. She's also about 80% sure that we're having a little boy. The only bad thing about that is dh and I had finally picked out a girl's name, so now it's back to square one.

Well that's great news! I'm glad everything is turning out ok.
When will you know for sure it's a boy?

Thanks! I've been lying around the apartment as much as I can, making dh do the work.

I expect to know for sure within the next couple of weeks, but she's probably right. I went through a TON of boy's names last night and didn't find any that really struck me.

Hang in there, glad to hear things are better than thought to be. Congrats on the boy.....

A few women in my DDC club have the same thing, just give yourself time.
