Hey. I was just wondering if anyone else had to have an early test. My doctor did one on me at my last appt. I was only 16 weeks. I'll have another one at 26 weeks. She said she does two because of PCOS. My results were normal.
The OBGYN I'm seeing is actually the one that told me I have PCOS before I got pregnant, and I havent even had one glucose test. I see him on tuesday, maybe I will then.
Generally GTT is done during 6th month for normal, non-diabetic moms-to-be... but with PCOS if you are IR then the chances of getting GD is high and its precautious to take a early GTT, even if u r not IR. that really helps... no harm in getting this done early.
I had one before 16 weeks and i have another at 28 weeks, they didn't mention it had anything to do with my pcos!! Mine was because my last baby was 11lb 7 , even though i didn't have GD in the pregnancy!!
I had one yesterday since they took me off the Met at 11 weeks. It was a tiny bit high they said so I do the three hour next week.
I have never been GD in any of my pregnancies so I hope I don't get it this time either.
