Update from my appointment:

Well let us start with walking in, they ask me to pee in a cup and I only had a glass of milk. Then when you use those stupid soap wipes they make your pee go all over the place and it is annoying, like trying to catch moving water. UGH. Anyway, got that done. Went and sat down and my husband had finished parking the car. They called me in to check my weight.

Okay girls you can hate me.... I lost three lbs from the five I gained. So that means I am only 1lb up from my prepregnancy weight. I told them that I thought weight loss would be easier being pregnant I would have gotten knocked up a long time ago. She laughed....

They usher us into a room and [i]The DRINK[i] is sitting there, orange and bubbling like some sort of sci fi movie concoction. I asked if they kept it refrigerated and she said now. My husband then said, "The only thing cold they have here hon are the stethascopes, speculums and Doctor's hands." The nurse laughed and so did I.

I drank it down remembering previously that it tasted like cheap orange soda, but the bottom part of it was just blech. She checked my blood pressure, 110/70 before I got pregnant I used to run 140/80 so Pregnancy does the body good. They are shocked that my blood pressure is lower, that my weight is lower and that everything is growing perfectly. The babies heart beat was loud and fast, the doc looked at me and said, "she is an active one," and I nodded.

He wants me to go back in 4 weeks instead of three because everything is looking so good. He told me "no worries about your contractions. If they become more frequent you know to call. I knodded and he said, "She is an active girl, she is just getting you ready to have to stop everything and deal with her." I laughed, and it is probably true. Yesterday I had a contraction that made me grab the counter and squat down. Glad they are only like 45 seconds to 60 seconds and they don't keep going.

The doc sent me off and told me 4 weeks, then three weeks and then every week. Which means my next appointment is February 12th, then Ultrasound to check on babies growth on February 21st (Brandon has that day off from school so he is super excited!) Then my next appointment is MARCH $th, which leaves only 3 more weeks until Due date.

Holy moley. He did say that we will have to make a bet at the next appointment as to whether or not I think I will see him in L&D before that....

We shall see...

Oh and anyone else get really light headed towards the end of the glucose test? Blech, I think I needed food. I still haven't eaten and that is my next project, but ######it I am going out to Chilis and getting FAJITAS!

You will do great. It always sounds worse, the apprehension is worse, but when you are in it, you scream, you cry, you throw a fuss but in the end you feel all powerful. Whether you have a C-Section or vaginal YOU helped this life come into this world throug 9 months of blood, sweat, tears, sore backs, achey tummies, etc. You did this for this beautiful life and for that this life will give you unconditional love. You can not ask for anything better than that.

It has been 7 years since my first son was born. He is beautiful still to me and I remember every ache and pain of labor but what matters most is what he means to me, I would go through it 20 times if I had to to keep him with me. He is sweet, loving and his momma is his world and he is mine. I love him and look forward to watching him share his world with his little baby sister when she arrives.

I go for my glucose test next week however, I don't have to drink that stuff everyone is talking about. My dr. uses jellybeans or jellybellies instead! I am SO SO SO thankful for that! I am anxious about it but i know there is nothing I can do about. I think you deserved those fajitas!!! I hope you enjoyed them! And I thought you reply to diamond was so sweet and sincere, it almost made me cry, happy prego tears. =)

I failed my test....

I have to go for the three hour....

You know what though, no big deal.... IF this is the worst thing I have to go through with this pregnancy I am fine. It is something I can control to some degree. I am looking forward to the three hour. If I have Gestational Diabetes, I will do what I need to for me and the baby. There are far worse things that could be wrong, so if this is given to me, I shall deal with it.
