Hello,
Popping in from the Dec 07 DDC.
My daughter, Samantha, was born 7 weeks premature and was diagnosed with a VSD in the NICU. She has been on 2 medicines (Digoxin and Lasix) since the NICU and also has very slow weight gain. (She gets tired very easily...no energy) But at her last Ped appt, he couldn't hear a murmur!
I wish your daughter the best of luck, but would like to tell you that the amount of babies who need surgery for the VSD is VERY slim, and the surgery is a very easy procedure.
Good luck!
