I am fairly new to pocket diapers, my only other experience being with a WAHM version of Fuzzi Bunz, which I really wasn't crazy about. But poor, longsuffering dh asked me to find something easier for him to use, so he would be more inclined to help out with diaper changes (he's nevr quite got the hang of prefolds, fitteds and covers). I wanted something that ds could use now, and we could also use for the new baby...so I found Haute Pockets. I'm a velcro fan, so I am dissapointed that everyone is sold out of the velcro closure and they won't be available for a couple of months, which is why I bought the snap version to start out with. I've seen excellent reviews on one site, but mediocre reviews on another, but so far I really like them!

Pros:
- the PUL is very soft and stretchy, not stiff like some pocket dipes
- great selection of colors
- each diaper comes with 2 inserts; the smaller one can be used alone with a younger baby, or as a doubler with a bigger baby
- quicker washing and drying time; I'm used to doing 3 or 4 extra rinses and then 1.5 hours of drying with my other diapers
- very trim! with a single doubler it is barely thicker than a 'sposie

Cons:
- the actual colors are a little different than pictured; I ordered a couple of "marigold" because I love orange, but they were a little closer to a mustard color
- the insert can be a little tricky to get in place, but I found it fits better when I put the wider end in front
- the inserts snap together, which is good and bad: good because the smaller one stays in place...bad because you have to unsnap the wet inserts to wash them
- the placement of the pocket opening is good and bad. The location is good because it doesn't leave exposed PUL to chafe baby's skin, but I can forsee it being kind of gross to remove the insert from a poopy diaper
- Its tough to get a good snug fit in front, but I have that problem with all snap-closure diapers, which is why I prefer velcro

Overall, I really do like them and will buy more...as long as they have velcro closures!
