My son Ethan was born stillborn in early February. I had a D&C for sudden severe bleeding about a week later. I went on birth control right away, to normalize my cycles so we could TTC in a few months. I had one AF, totally normal. Like I never had a baby. My second AF started in earnest last Thursday. It was finished by Sunday, per usual. I was spotting a teensy bit yesterday, no biggie. But tonight I started bleeding again. Nothing severe, just like my AF. But I already had my AF, last week, and I'm back on the hormone pill.

Is this normal? I have PCOS (but not polycystic ovaries, so it's odd and mostly asymptomatic). Should I call my gyn/RE? I'm going on vacation tomorrow afternoon through Sunday. Should I wait a few days and see what happens?

I really don't have any clues for you but I can imagine it must be very confusing. Perhaps no harm in giving your doctor a call to get some reassurance?

Did you miss any pills? My body does that to me all the time... if I miss even one pill it will start bleeding. And actually it can happen even if you don't miss any... depending on the hormone levels and such. It's probably not a big deal, though I'd probably check in with the doctor anyways. It's freaking annoying, I know.

Yeah, I actually forgot to restart the pills Sunday night and started on Monday night instead. Maybe that's the problem.

I don't have any advice, but I think calling your doctor might be a good idea. KUP!

Yeah, that could be it then. Last time I was on the pill that happened.... my doctors said I could just keep taking the pills and hopefully the spotting would stop, but I knew from experience I'd have spotting all the way through my cycle, so I stopped the pills to get a withdrawal bleed, then re-started the cycle. It didn't make a difference to the nurses, but I just hated dealing with the spotting!
