Hi ladies some of u may not remember me...I posted when I had my second miscarriage in October. I am Alana. Im 23 and right now I am single and have been for a few months. Anyway, When i was with my ex I lost a baby at 5 weeks in July 08 and 8 weeks in October 08....Now I haven't had my period in 2 months and Ive been on birthcontrol on and off around those pregnancies for over a year. I got pregnant on the pill both times...sounds trusting huh? I tried the nuvaring but it was too expensive and went back to the pill...i havent had sex in over 2 months but AF is MIA. Im on the pill so for this month I should have started yesterday and no signs or symptoms...no cramps, no sore boobs, nada! Isnt that weird? What do you guys think it is? I doubt im pregnant cuz other then gaining weight I have no symptoms of that either and i was so sick with my others. Its just weird i thought the pill kept u regular. haha any advice would be great. Oh and my primary doctor is out on maternity leave so Im not comfortable going to a strange man whos taking over for her. Thanks girls. I also posted in the am I pregnant board but thought maybe you guys would know if theres anything after miscarriage how long til im back to normal?

I'm sorry for your losses.

I've heard that it can take up to 3 cycles to get back to normal after a miscarriage. I only had one regular cycle after the D&C before I went on the pill, so I can't speak from personal experience.

Certain pills can sometimes prevent you from having a period. I was on Yaz (I stopped taking it yesterday), and because there are only 4 placebo pills in each pack, some people don't get a period on it at all.

I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help. I hope you get some answers soon.

It can take a few months for your body to get back in the swing of things. If you are not comfortable seeing the other DR. Maybe see if there is an advise nurse on hand and ask her. I wouldn't think you were pg considering you haven't done anything but it never hurts to test. To be perfectly honest I didn't know I was pg this last time and I was almost 2 mo along. No symptoms or anything. Keep us updated.

My doctor told me three months at least but that every women and every pregnancy no matter the end was different. I went to the doctor today because my periods seem all out of whack. I would put a call into the doctor if you aren't sure. Male doctors are not so bad. I had not had one until this last pregnancy and honestly I just adored him (in a fatherly kinda way). He was so compassionate and really helped to put me at ease.

Sorry I missed this, just wanted to send you some

I totally understand how frustrating BC can be! That was one of the reasons why I had to stop taking it.
