Hello ladies I am new to the boards. I had a miscarriage Feb 27 . It was our third pregnancy, and very devastating. We went in because I was just feeling off LOL and they did three ultrasounds with no heartbeat. I had a D&C a couple days later. And other than the pain and emotional pain I was "normal" feeling. I have been feeling back to normal for most of the last three months until about a week ago. I just got real pms type feelings WAY early for my period to be here. I am a 30 day person have been for years. Had my last period 4May and it was sooo heavy and painful. But the doctor had said it would not be a regular cycle. But said after that I should have regular cycles again. Now I have started spotting 7 days before I expect my period and I just don't feel right. I have no idea if any of this makes sense but my periods haven't been irregular (early or late) in at least 7 years since I started tracking them. So I guess my question is do women have hormones still kinda out of whack after three months? I have an appointment with my ob on Friday but I am kinda stressed wondering if maybe something is wrong down there. Sorry this is so long, just needed to talk to someone who had been through this stuff before. Thanks for reading all of this .

Hi Jess. I had my D&C 6 1/2 weeks ago and my first cycle was really heavy and a few days before I was cramping the worst cramps I have ever had. It was so bad I almost went to the hospital. My Dr said it is very normal and from what other girls have told me they experience "off" cycles for up to 6 months after. I am glad you have a doctors appt this week, keep us updated on how it goes.

So the doctor said that this might be my new normal. That just like any pregnancy it could and might possibly have changed my cycles. So he said give it one more and if I still feel really out of whack to come back and he would recheck me. He didn't do an exam because I was thinking I was starting AF since the spotting seem to be picking up steam. Course this afternoon it has all but stopped spotting grrr. Just get here already. Was feeling all crampy but then came home was a bit sick, took a nap and the cramps are gone too. The case of the disappearing AF. Anyway if it is still like this in a week I will go back and have them check me more. He did do some blood tests to check all my levels and make sure they all went back to normal. On that one no news is good news.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I understand worrying that something is wrong with you after a miscarriage. I'm glad that you had a doctor's appointment so that you could bring up your concerns. How did it go?

I've read that it can take several months before your cycles become regular again. I know that the one cycle I went through before starting the pill was very odd and painful. I recently stopped taking the pill, and I'm hoping that my body begins to regulate in the next few months.

Sending you big *HUGS*
