I seen my Dr today and he had no problem letting me get a 2nd u/s just to be sure. So they seen me right away for the u/s. Still no heartbeat and the baby was measuring what I was on Thus. 11wks 6days. So the heart must of stopped that day. I was just really hoping they were wrong.

I had a hcg blood draw as well and will get another on Thurs. This will also be a piece of mind for me.

I just cant believe all this is happening. I just want to know why and I am not sure I will ever know why.

Iam so sorry for this news. I know you were doing it for peace of mind, but it never makes it any easier to see the baby a second time with no heart beat. Have they offered a chromosonal check on the baby? If you dont get the test and even if you do, you many never know why, and for that Im so sorry...

take time to let this absorb, it usually hits you hard when the process starts. Im not sure how long this can take, especially if have had no bleeding yet. Are they giving you something to start the process? We will be here for you, again Im so sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry it's had to end this way. Do you know when they should be getting back to you about your hgc levels.
Are you thinking you will do this naturally or have you thought about a D & C?

I may get the hcg levels on Fri but not sure. I opted to just let it happen. I am not sure about the meds yet but really dont want a d&c. I just hope it doesnt drag on for 4wks or something. Someone told me it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 wks.

Thanks for your support ladies.

I am so very sorry you are going through this. Waiting to miscarriage is truly heart wrenching. ((BIG HUGS))

At an 8 week m/c, I opted out of the D & C as well. My doctor offered Misoprostol which helped the process along. Not sure if that is an option for you.

So sorry to hear that. We had three ultrasounds with our m/c to confirm the missing heart beat. I kept praying the doctor was just being stupid and that the u/s tech would find it and everything would be ok. It is heart wrenching.
