I went in for my first appointment on may 15th. They did an ultrasound because I thought I had been pregnant since Feb. but had not got a positive test until April. They did the u/s and told me that it looked as though I was only 5 weeks along and they wanted to do another in a week. The next week came and the faint hart beat was no more. I had lost the baby. They said since it was only five weeks I probably would see nothing when I miscarried so I opted to miscarry naturally and went home. Well, yesterday it happened at 6:30 am...and the baby was not the small almost invisible size of a pen head it was almost three inches long!! It looked like a baby! I was so freaked out I didn't know what to do and without thinking I just flushed the toilet.... I have heard that with a tilted uterus like I have can make the baby seem smaller than it is, but that was a HUGE FREAKING DIFFERENCE!!!! How could they not know?! I don't know what to do! I flushed my baby down the toilet! My Baby! a tiny little baby.....what do I do....

My heart goes out to you. With my last pregnancy that did end in miscarriage at 15 weeks we had a hemorrhage at 10 weeks. I thought my baby was in the toilet and I was a complete basket case. We had to go to the ER because we had no idea what was going on and I was bleeding so much. I wish I had words to comfort you. Hugs!

Thank you. I just don't understand how my dr. didn't know that I was more than five weeks along! I feel so horrible that I flushed my baby but I reacted before I could even think! I just don't know what to do. I don't know what to tell my boss either. I'm a maid and we use harsh cleaning chemicals that I can't work with while pregnant but now that I'm not I just don't know what to do....

Take some time and grieve. That is my best advice.

I would suggest taking some time for yourself. I hate that any of us have to go through this. I am so verry sorry.

Please take some time to allow yourself to grieve. We're here for you, honey.

What a horrible nightmaire to go through. Im at a loss as to what to tell you. Unfortunately, you will have this image in your mind for some time to come. Just understand that your baby was at peace before this happened and you only reacted the same way ANY woman would. Im so sorry they mis-judged your pregnancy by so much, that seems a bit extreme, but like you said your tilted uteris would have alot to do with it. Take some time to yourself before you let your boss know about your pregnancy. You deserve this time to greive and let yourself move forward. We are here for you, and thank you for sharing this with us. There might be some women out there in a similar situation and can gain some knowledge from this to be better prepared.

I'm sorry honey. So very sorry. Please...don't feel guilty. Your reaction is the same as any woman's might be. I'm sorry that you have been through such a trauma. It does seem ridiculous that they'd be off by that much on a measurement though.

If you'd like your sweet angel added to our memorial list, then please add your information to the sticky and I'll get you on there.

My heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry...it is terrible and it seems like we all end up going through it alone. I would encourage you to think that your baby was already gone...somewhere much better. Your baby wasn't the tissue in the toilet because your baby is in a much better place...whether that's your heart, your memories or somewhere else depending on your beliefs. We are here to talk it out when you need it. Believe me when I say that we have all felt what you are feeling.
