Hey girls! I just wanted to get a feel of who is here and what's going on! Sorry I've been so quiet lately, I've been dealing with some frustration on my end (nothing to do with the board). Anyway, I'm going to try to be on!
I'm Brittanie, I'm one of the cohosts of this board (obviously). I lost my sweet Cora Rei at 38w1d due to a cord accident. She came into this world sleeping on May 2, 2006, so it's been nearly 3 1/2 years, but I still miss her every day. I've since had 2 healthy babies, Erin Rielle (June 7, 2007) and Patrick Reese (February 25, 2009).
Anyway, if there's anything you'd like to know about me, feel free to ask! And if you have any ideas of daily threads I can post, or questions I can ask on Two for Tuesdays, etc, let me know, I'm running out of ideas.
Anyway, so who is here and how are you?

I'm here... I'm Amanda, wife to Mike & mom to Austin (13) & my sweet angel baby. We lost our little angel at 11 wks 3 days on July 1, 2009, EDD was January 16, 2010. The dr said it was most likely a chromosomal defect but we don't officially know. We're also currently TTC.
Brittanie, I do have a question if you are up to answering it (if not, that's okay too )... you said you lost Cora due to a cord accident. What happened? What kind of cord accident?

This is Sheila-your other Co-host.
I'm not here near as much as I like but I do my best to be a constant on the board.
It's almost been 3 yrs since we lost our sweet Annika Leigh. She was delivered at 29 wks and didn't make it due to a rare syndrome called Pena-Shokier. The symdrome [I]appears[I] to be like Trisomy 18 but there is no Chromosome issues. Ultimately, Annika's lungs never developed not allowing her to breathe even with assistance.
I'm always welcome to questions around here. You name it-I'll answer it.

I'm here too, but very new and shy.
I'm Lorna (35) and my dh is JP (44), we lost our first less than a week ago at 7 weeks 4 days (Blighted Ovum). We are ready to TTC as soon as we can, I'm trying to learn how to chart and have my first box of OPK's all ready to go.

I'm here, though I mostly just lurk. I'm Stephanie, mom to Sierra (11) Will (8) and 6 precious angels (all lost before 6 weeks). My husband and I married in 2007 and have been TTC our first together since we moved in together in March of 2006. We are still TTC and hoping for a sticky bean very soon!

I love answering questions about Cora! She had her cord wrapped very tightly around her neck twice. So tightly, in fact, that not only did my Dr. have to cut the cord before she could be delivered, he had a hard time getting the scissors between the cord and her neck to cut it in the first place. She also had a shorter cord, so there was less room to move, so when she dropped in prep for labor it pulled tight.

Hi. i am here. I am Faith. I am currently experiencing a loss now. i was 12 weeks and was diagnosed with a blighted ovum yesterday. i havent had any bleeding or cramping yet. i go tomorrow for another u/s.
this is my 3rd loss. my first was Aug. 26th, 2005. miscarriage for reasons unknown at 6ish weeks.
please dont judge me on this one, it was a devistating decision that me and my ds had to make. my 2nd loss was June 3rd, 2007. i was 15 weeks and chose to have a d&c after the baby i was carring was diagnosed with anencephaly. i just couldnt carry to term knowing that i would have to plan a funeral for the precious baby i was carrying.
I also have 3 children. they are all october kids. Roland is 14, Miracle is 3, and Sarah is 1.
Since finding out yesterday about the blighted ovum, i cant stop crying. i am obsessing over all of the misdiagnosed blighted ovum stories i can find on the web and praying that this is the case for me also. i so wanted this baby.

Congratulations, Amy!! That's great news!!
Hi! I'm another Amy. I've had 4 losses, two early losses last summer, my son, Paul, at 19 weeks last February, and my daughter's twin at 12 weeks. And I'm currently expecting my daughter, Cora sometime next spring (I am guessing late March, but that has been a bit of a battle. If you are curious, I'm more than happy to share her story.)

Hi,
My name is Mandi. I don't post here very much, I mostly just lurk. DH & I lost our baby on 3-31-09 when I was almost 12 weeks. You can read about my experience here: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f2...-11-weeks.html (My D&C Experience At 11 Weeks)
DH & I have been together for about 11 years (he is 32 & I am 27). This was our 1st baby & we got pregnant our very first month trying. Since the loss we haven't tried again.

Hi I'm Lindsey.. I am here but I don't post a whole lot.. I have had two miscarriages. The first one May 28th 2009 and then the second was a possible eptopic.. I started bleeding in Aug and then again in Sept and Sept 6th they did an u/s and couldn't find the baby so ruled it eptopic and I had to do a round of methotrexate.. It was horrible, but I am hoping that when I do get pregnant the third time is a charm.
Oh and I do have a son Elijah who was born June 6 2007..
