Hi, my name is Lindsay and I am 29 y/o. DH and I have one DS who is a little over 3 yrs old. It took us 10 months to conceive this pregnancy. We found out after about 7 months that DH had a varicocele and that is probably why we were not conceiving so easily. We scheduled his surgery and then 2 wks before his surgery we found out were were pregnant. I never had a miscarriage before and I thought this pregnancy was going really well. I didn't have any morning sickness but never did with my first. I thought it was a little strange that I wasn't gaining any weight but blamed it on my stressful work and not eating a whole bunch as I never had much time to eat till dinner time. My boobs were growing the the test was frankly positive so I didn't worry that much. On Christmas I was 10wks along so I thought it was perfect to tell everyone the news now. We came back from my parents house on the night of the 26th and unloaded the car which included a very heavy snow blower and a large wooden toy box that my dad had made DS. That night before bed I went to the bathroom and noticed some bright red blood. I thought it was just from heavy lifting so I took it easy the next day as I didn't have to work. The bleeding got a little heavier but was getting darker so I figured that it was just from the lifting and probably got a SCH and would just have to take it easy. I wasn't having any cramps so I thought I would be okay. Then at 2am on the 28th I woke up to severe cramps that turned into labor like pains that came on strong every 2-3 mins. I was also severely bleeding. After passing large clots about 10 times on the toliet and completely soaking through 2 pairs of pants I finally decided not to wait for the doctors office to open and went to the ER as I couldn't stand the pain anymore. They confirmed that the baby had died about 2 wks ago. They had an opening that day for a d&C so I proceded on with that right way to stop all the bleeding and pain. We are going to try to conceive again when my cycle gets normal again. I am just hoping that it doesn't take as long this time. DH had his surgery on the 5th of Dec so they said he should have higher sperm counts after 3 months so hopefully his surgery fixes him and then we don't have to wait too long to get pregnant again.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you are feeling a bit better now. Its so hard the first time because it is so shocking. I pray that your able to conceive a healthy rainbow baby soon. We are here if you need anything.

I really hope that your husband's surgery makes it easier for you to conceive again, but I'm so sorry about your loss. A loss after struggling with infertility has got to be doubly hard.
