I had a f/u appointment yesterday and the u/s showed I still have retained tissue. My Dr did a pelvic exam and since my cervix is closed she said the likelihood of me continuing to pass the products are very low so I’m scheduled for a D&C on Friday. She knows I did not want to have the procedure done, but she advised me of the risk of infection and the fact that I can’t TTC again until this is complete, so I agreed.

Thinking of you honey. I'm glad your doctor checked you out and you're able to get this taken care of before an infection starts.

I am so sorry you have to have this done after you already have gone through so much. I hope it's over and done with quickly and you can have a fast recovery.

Sorry to hear it, I know it's hard making that decision because it feels so final. But it sounds like your doctor is right, and that it would be the best option, and hopefully too it would give you closure.
Hugs...keep us posted ok?

It is amazing how different all the doctors are, after my second losses I had retained tissue for about six weeks. No D&C. My due would have been May 2010 and i had Beau in Sept 2010.

I am so sorry for your loss and that the D&C is necessary.
