Hi ladies...just wondering how everyone's Mother's Day went. Was it ok? Really hard? Fun? How did you cope? Did you do anything special to remember your little angel?

I had a very nice Mother's Day. DH got a Willow Tree figurine for me. It's called "Angel of Mine." I know it's meant to be me and Bowie, but I just felt torn because in my mind my angel is Gabriel. I didn't say anything to DH, though, because it was very sweet of him to do this for me and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I'm still trying to decide if I can get past the name and think of it as me and Bowie or if it will always represent Gabriel to me.

I signed Gabriel's name in cards for both our mothers, as well as Bowie's. I felt that was my way of honoring my angel.

Well I don't think there's anything wrong with it representing Gabriel to you, I mean especially on Mother's Day, Gabriel was your first baby. He's also your little angel in heaven, so the name seems pretty fitting to me. I'm sure you can add other statues to your collection as time goes on that will represent Bowie, maybe after he/she is born? But for now this one can be your little Gabriel. I think it's really sweet, even if your DH didn't intend for it to mean that to begin with.

Mine was so-so. Not my happiest, although I tried. I really did.

It's ok. You don't have to be happy, you just had a miscarriage.

My loss was just before Christmas so I completely understand. Worst. Christmas. Ever, although everyone did try to cheer me up I just wasn't feeling festive, especially since it was supposed to be the best Christmas ever. It's okay to feel that way.

Mine was so-so. For most of the day, I wasn't even fully aware that it was Mother's Day. I was very busy trying to get the house in order and ended up getting into a huge fight with DH because he didn't want to help. :-(

Mine was pretty busy. We spent time with my mom & DH's mom. DH's mom lives 2 hours away so we were on the road a good bit too.

I understand. I end up taking a lot of my frustrations out on my DH too. I hate doing it but it just comes out sometimes.
