So I gained 5 pounds with my preg and really, REALLY want it gone so I can get back to feeling normal and so that I'm not toting around extra weight if I'm blessed to get preg again in the coming months. It's been over a week since my D&C and I've really been watching what I eat and working out for the last few days (since the bleeding stopped) and the scale hasn't budged at all, not even half a pound! What gives? Is it normal for your body to hold onto the weight initially? How long did it take your body to start losing?

Ever since I had my first son my weight has been stubborn! I used to be able to just watch what I ate for a week or so, exercise more, and then I'd see fast results on the scale. Now it takes FOREVER...if I even see any results at all. I gave up trying to lose weight! More because it was too much for me emotionally. I really would like to lose weight, though, like you, to be at a healthy weight before I get pregnant again. Sorry I can't be more encouraging!

Actually, it makes me feel a lot more encouraged to hear I'm not the only one. Oh, to be young again! Well, I'm not going to obsess. Hopefully my body will just figure it out somehow...

I actually talked to my doctor about this because I cannot lose the weight. I have PCOS which is part of my problem but the doctor also said it's due to the hormones. When your hormones are fluctuating it's very hard to lose weight

Thanks Katie, that's at least an explanation for why this is happening!

Your welcome girls. I know it still sucks but at least knowing there is nothing you can do to change it for now helps somewhat.
