I am leaving on vacation for a family reunion. It is in a rural area where the nearest ob is an hour away. There is a local clinic/hospital type place, with a general surgeon within 20 minutes. I would never want to have to rely on that for miscarriage complications. I go back and forth on this. Here are my betas at 15 dpo, 17, 19, and 22........ 23, 51, 54, and 35.

I don't want my woman parts messed with by a general surgeon who usually does not mess with ob/gyn stuff.

How much longer until you leave for vacation? With how far along you were, you likely won't have much more than a heavy period. If you are about 22 DPO, you are about as far along as I was when I had mine. I had very heavy, water flow for two days with bad cramping and then it was very light. I think it's up to you, but I think you should be okay.

I am so sorry your having to go through this. I have had both a D&C and natural losses. My D&C was when I was farther along. Here are some things to help you make your decision hun.

I went ahead and had a D&C. DH and I fought tooth and nail over it. The sonogram showed a lot more than just a 5 week pregnancy. So, it is good that I had the D&C.

I'm glad your procedure went well. Hopefully now you can grieve and try to enjoy your time away.

I'm glad that you're able to now move forward emotionally and won't have to worry about the physical part on your vacation.
