It feels good to finally have closure, and the surgery wasn't half as bad as I expected. I cherish each moment wih my miniman even more than ever now. I am sad to not be pregnant anymore, but trying to enjoy the things I couldn't while pregnant. We plan to concentrate our time and money on our miniman for the next couple years until our insurance issues are resolved and then try for a 2015 baby.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that having the procedure helped provide some closure. I wish you lots of sticky dust for when you try again.

*hugs* to you. I'm glad the d&c was complication free - I recall the one I had as being fairly quick and easy under wretched circumstances.
I too wish you very quick healing and peace, and your 2015 baby is going to be one lucky well loved little one.

Glad the procedure was quick and without complication. Hope you heal quickly and are able to focus your love on miniman until the next little one comes around

Thanks, everyone
The recovery has been harder than I expected. I have this overwhelming feeling that there was a baby in there that the ultrasound just missed. I am still having horrible cramping with lots of bleeding even after 48 hours of methergene. The bleeding is finally starting to slow down today, but I am exhausted.

I felt the recovery so much harder then I expected as well. I didn't expect it, because I felt pretty good after the procedure, but it has definitely gets worse. Hope your feeling better soon!

I'm sorry you are having a tough recovery I only started the heavy bleeding today so I have no idea how long it will last. Get as much rest as you can. Hugs!

Hope you are feeling better. I found the more I did the more I bled so resting and relaxing as much as possible (which is hard with a little one around!) is the best thing you can do. (((hugs)))

I passed a chunk of tissue that I think was hanging on in there causing the bleeding. It is slowing down now. I still have the feeling of dread that the baby really was OK in there just unable to be seen on ultrasound.

I had the same thing, I was bleeding really heavy and finally a big chunk of tissue came out and it has let up considerably. I'm sorry you are feeling stressed about the thought of baby actually being in there. But from what I remember you had a couple u/s's and I'm sure they searched carefully. Hugs.

Thanks! I have my follow up appointment on Thursday, so hopefully, they can tell me what they found. Gotta get set up with some birth control because we have to wait two years now because of insurance.

It does sound like everything was truly done, both on your doctor's part and yours before the d&c. I think that feeling of panic and doubt is normal as part of the grieving process. For me I keep wondering what I should have done differently - should have taken better care of myself, shouldn't have been on medication, etc, etc. Take it easy on yourself...you did everything that you could do already.
