I was so sure that once he was born I wouldn't have to worry about him anymore! My sister had her baby yesterday at 12:08pm (7lbs18oz, 20.5"). Well, he has a pocket of gas by his heart that is giving him breathing issues and this morning he was transferred to the NICU.
She says the Drs are confident he'll be able to go home with her tomorrow, and he's in the NICU because the more specialized care will help him recover faster.
But I can't help but worry.
Please God, don't take my sister's baby too!
Could you ladies please pray for him, and his mommy? She's having a really hard time with this.
Marcus will be fine. I still check into the DDC (I would have been due tomorrow) so I read about how he was moved to the NICU. I know it's hard not to worry... but the doctors know what they are doing. I will send prayers just incase okay? But I really belive he will be okay. And he is soooo darn cute!

I'm glad to hear your newphew is doing better. It's so scary! I know that you especially, after having lost a baby, were so scared for your sister, no one wants someone else, especially those we love to go through so much pain. It's just one of those things you never think possible. You had the baby, you made it! The baby seems completely healthy, then a problem arises. Nothing we ever expect. But the care they are able to give newborns these days is just amazing. That's the reason why I deliver at the hospital that I do, and not one of the other ones that everyone seems to like due to a more "homey" feel. The one I deliver at has one of the best NICU's in the midwest. All the other hospitals in the area send the babies there when they have issues, so I'm like "I'm just going to deliver there, that way if anything goes wrong, we are right there!"
Big hugs to all of you, I'm thinking of you guys, and really hope that little guy gets to come home with his mommy and daddy today!
