Are they 12x12 300 DPI if you want to make them for others to download? Why 12x12 if so? Is there a 12x12 paper that they can be printed to? I have been making siggies for a long time, but want to start making LO too. But I am not sure what size.

You can actually make them any size you'd like.
Some people make their layouts 12x12 and print them that way at a print store so that they can put it into a 12x12 scrapbook
Some people make their layouts 12x12 but then change the size at the time of printing into a 8x8 or 10x10. Even still, you don't really need to start it out as 12x12 but I think I do that because it's nice to have a large background to work with...

Some people even make them a small size like 8 1/2x11 too so that they can put it in a regular size binder.
Some others make them smaller yet to make an 8x5(?) brag book for gifts.

what she said. I think 12x12 is most popular because that is most popular in paper scrapping

I used to scrap 12x12 then print 8x8 at home..
but now scrap 12x12 and print in 12x12.
I know a lot of ladies scrap 12x12 then when going to print get the 12x18 print and have the 12" LO + 2 6" pages to put in to brag books for family
