Hi my name is Ericka and I am new to digi and I was wondering if anyone uses Picasa? And if you do how do you cut something out? Or should I look for downloads that aren't on a background? I want to put embellishments in but I am stuck with a block with the ribbon in side and noway to just get the ribbon. Any help would be great! Thanks

if you go to digiscrapdepot.com you can find freebies that don't have backgrounds. I don't have picasa so I can't help with cutting things out. Good to see you over here!

Hi Adi! Well the problem is that Picasa is adding a background to my kits ugg. So I don't know what to do. Are there other free photo editing programs I could download?

Picasa is more for organizing your kits and elements so you can fund what you are looking for when you are ready to scrap.
If you want to make scrapbook pages you need photo editing software.

A lot of scrappers I know use Photoshop Elements or Photoshop Creative Suite. They are both pretty expensive, and CS versions are pretty high with the learning curve.

Its not free like GIMP or Picasa but you can try ACDSee Photo Editor - if you google for it, you'll find it.
I find it to be very easy to use for scrapping.

HTH!
