Makenna is TEETHING.

She's only 3 1/2 mos. old. I didn't think it would happen so soon. Thursday when dh picked Makenna up from the sitters, they told him that they couldn't get her to finish her last bottle. (That was very unusal for Makenna). I noticed that she was fussy when she was trying to eat that night too. I thought it was because she needed a good poo. The only time she has "complained" is when she is trying to drink from her bottle. The kind of nipples I have on her bottle are the slow flow. (In fact, they were the ONLY nipples I could find that she wouldn't choke on the milk cuz it came out too fast.) Yesterday, I stuck my finger in her mouth and felt her gums, and sure enough, I can FEEL something on the top gums. I had my sister feel and another friend of mine and they both agree that it feels like a tooth coming in. This is all happening so fast! Slow down, baby girl.

OMG already!!!!! Poor Makenna, I hope she's not in a lot of pain, I remember when Alex got his teeth, he was cranky for a bit, then we noticed that the teeth was coming but there was not more crankiness than usual, I can't believe she's already getting teeth, she's such a big girl and the top teeth first! I heard the common thing is that the bottom teeth come in first. So YAY girl!

awwww....Poor Makenna... I hope that they come in quickly, and aren't too painful for her. 3 1/2 is pretty young. I've heard if they come in really early, she will loose them early too and get her perment teeth sooner.

Ahhh.... parenting is such a guessing game.

I really think that what I'm feeling on top is teeth, but like Patty said, the bottom usually come in first. One minute I think I'm all wrong and the next minute I keep telling myself "TRUST YOUR INSTINCT". I guess in the end, it really doesn't matter either way if it is TRUE teething. I'm going to comfort her as much as I can if I think she is in pain, and I'm just going to keep looking for any clues or cues she might give me.

I'll keep everyone posted with my neurotic observations.

Sacha, I months ago (I think in June/July) I thought that the top teeth were coming out, it felt like they were coming out, we were waiting for them, and then the bottom teeth came out
I hope they come out soon and that they are not too painful.

I keep thinking Ana might get her teeth a bit earlier because she has been ferociously biting everything....her hands, my face if I get her close, toys, blankets, you name it. She even kind of lets out an angry squeal when she does it....hopefully its just a phase and stops when her teeth actually do come in .

Hugs, Sacha.....I hope teething goes smoothly for you both!!
