Thanks Patty! Juliana is a happy baby in general, but still qualifies as GERD because of the spitting up blood. The docs don't quite understand how the reflux is bad enough to cause esophagitis (hence the blood) w/o causing her much pain. So, she is on prevacid. I have a theory on the whole thing which also explains her sleep woes. Since she doesn't spit up at night and is only irritable at night, I think that her reflux is more "silent" at night. I've read that silent reflux is often even more painful because the large quantities of spit up actually coat the esophagus a bit. Of course, I'm not a doc, I'm just desperately trying to figure my LO out.
