Tanith DESPERATELY needs some social interaction! And it couldn't hurt for me to get some too! Part of it is our weird schedule and when I was hugely pregnant I didn't want to go anywhere. I looked for local MOPs or we have one here called MOMS (Mothers Offering Mothers Support, though Moms of Multiples is the same ) I didn't know about, but a friend invited me. I will probably go to my first one on Wednesday. I was also thinking about looking for Mom and Tot classes at the local Community Center. If I connect with one or two we can always start our own, or they may know of a group.
We joined lots through our local community centre and make tons of other mommy friends that we still hang out with. We also joined a baby and me class by the health department. It was meant for learning about feeding, sleeping, etc. but we made tons of friends there too. Look around and if you can't find anything maybe you should try to start your own. I find other Moms are craving social interaction just as much so don't be afraid to approach people.
I joined one right when Matthew was born and I went to one outing....but honestly I felt kind of out of place because he was only a couple months old. I found the group on yahoo. Now that he is a bit older I will be looking into one again. I have always loved mommy and baby groups

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
I still occasionally get together with the ladies from our Bradley childbirth class that we took with Cori. Our area has a MOPS and a Success By Six. I've been to Success by Six once and may go again. I've also met some other mommies from Cori's activities, like dance class and swimming.
My church has one every week. Only problem is that DH stopped carpooling (LONG aggrivating story), so I don't have a car anymore. There are some ladies from my church that live nearby though, one also carless, so I should get together with them.
