We are currently buying Enfamil AR and it's pretty expensive. Do you think it would be a big deal to switch to the comparable store brand? The ingredients are identical, and with my first three I would have switched already. But, Max's tummy is a bit more sensitive. I can't imagine it would make a huge difference. I'll ask at his next appointment (Jan 29th) but I'm just wondering what you think.
Tyler was on Similac Sensitive. I used the Walgreens lactose free formula. He couldn't stomach the walmart brand one for some reason..I would def give it a try and see how he does. I also used the Kroger and HEB brands.
I would say give it a try. We went through everything, and I do mean everything with Katie.....her issue as it turns out was the powder formulas. After months of spitup and tummy troubles, we switched to ready to feed and then she was fine.
It can be sooooo frustrating !
Ana is breastfed, but has a bottle every once in awhile. When she does it is AR as well. I was noticing that Walmart has a Parent's Choice added rice formula that has the EXACT same ingredients as Enfamil AR. I'm thinking about trying it too.
I personally didn't like the Walmart brand, it was always chalky and Benjamin hated it. After that I was too scared to switch him from the Emfamil but I know other mothers that had success with brand name formula so give it a try, if worse comes to worse you can always switch back.
OK, I'm going to give it a try. I'll check with the doc first, but, it's worth giving it a shot. If it doesn't work, we'll just switch back. We'll transition him with a mixture of both and see how it goes. Thanks, ladies!
