I am in tears after hearing about a little girl gone way too soon...
One of my high school classmates is a physician who has been a missionary physician in Africa for many years now. He met his wife (a missionary nurse from Denmark) in Africa. They went through 3 failed IVF treatments and finally got pregnant. This week (at 21 weeks) she began leaking amniotic fluid. An u/s showed the baby was alive but the fluid was quite low. She was put on strict bed rest. Despite the bed rest, she went into labor the next day. They delivered a perfect little baby girl. She lived a few minutes but her lungs were not developed. My heart just aches for this couple. It's just not fair!
Just after medical school, my classmate was in a car accident with his twin brother. He tried to save his brother, but his injuries were too severe.
It's just not fair!!
Please pray for this couple (and his parents who are still in the states, missing the granddaughter they never got to meet).
