awww i feel your pain Kelly - I've been doing no dairy & no onions for over a month now, hoping that would solve Savannah's gas/stomach issues...with no luck. In fact her pedi told me on Tue I could eat dairy again as he felt at worst she might be a little lactose intolerant but that she didn't have a milk allergy. Having no dairy (and I cheated once or twice) for 4 weeks has been incredibly hard - how long do you have to try this diet??

Awww, thanks Patty. It is helping my resolve to know that I'm starting to bf again and she isn't spitting. Also, I sometimes think about the people in Haiti who are starving and then I really can't complain at all, kwim? For my cookies I just used my usual recipe and replaced the butter and chocolate chips with non-dairy/soy. My cookies aren't healthy, but are usually a big hit (mom's recipe). I'm willing to share it if you are looking for a good one.
Lara, I hope she either outgrows or the probiotics work. We've been lucky that Ana is a "happy spitter" and doesn't usually cry in discomfort. She just needs to stop spitting blood.
Here ya go.....
I'm having a hard time getting into the fake milk, so these did make me a bit crazy wanting milk, but they were really good! Also, the recipe makes 3 dozen.
2 sticks margarine - melted (I used a cup of the earth balance, soy free)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
3 cups flour
chocolate chips (I don't use a whole package, but at least 1/2...depends on how you like your cookies)
I put the ingredients together in the order listed. Put dough on cookie sheets in small balls. Bake until light brown at 350...roughly 10-12 minutes.
