I know you mentioned that you were going back to work this past Monday so I was just checking in on you. That first week can be pretty tough and quite a struggle to keep all your balls in the air.
I know with each kid I felt guilty for leaving them at daycare but also guilty for secretly wanting to go back to work for the adult interaction.
aww thanks for thinking of me! I'm "easing" back into work by only working 1/2 days this week (and maybe next)...and it's still been a BIG adjustment! And honestly everyone's been waaaay too happy to see me back at work - and I have tons and tons of new work to prove it LOL.
I felt utterly conflicted about dropping Savannah off at daycare the first day...I'm so nervous about something happening to her and me not being there for her. But it was really nice to be back into a routine that's adult-driven...I'll admit when I stayed home with her our routine was Savannah-driven. Everything was done around whatever schedule she felt like being on, and I need a little more structure (haha, doesn't that sound totally reversed? she should need the structure, not me).
Luckily, her daycare center is awesome and she seems to be enjoying it and the other babies (who love her)...and once I got past the first couple of days it's gotten easier to leave her there in the morning. Now if I can just get the whole morning routine and getting us out the door on time figured out I'll be set!

Let me know when you figure it out I have a 4th and 1st grader in addition to Alexa. You would think we would have the morning routine down but it seems like every day we are running around trying to find things or finish homework they "forgot" about.
I'm glad you and Savannah are transitioning into your new schedule so well. It helps Soooooo much if you and her are both comfortable with her caretakers!! Sounds like you have found a good place to take her. and I agree with everyone else....morning are CRAZY!!!! but I am starting to get used to the crazy! LOL
Going back to work is REALLY hard and Hugs for you for these first few weeks. It does get easier, but you never stop missing spending time with your lo.
