Mick booked the 2 of us earlier today....we will be going May 19 - June 2nd! I am so excited !
It has been 4 years since I moved ...so I really need to see my family and friends back home.
I can't wait until Katie meets her "Poppy"( my step dad) for the very first time !!!

thanks ladies !

it is the first time she will be on a plane....I am really nervous about it.
I am doing some reading now on what liquids I can bring for her and myself actually, being diabetic, i would like to take some juice boxes with us.
have you ladies traveled with little ones or have a med. condition?

Dee, You can take liquids for Katie no problem. What I do when I travel with Alex is that I put them in a little cooler, they will pull you aside and test it. They have never given me any problems.
Good luck traveling with a toddler, what I found the most difficult is to keep them entertain. Will she be sitting on your lap? My best advice is that she will be difficult, it's hard to keep them confined for a long time (you know that), bring stuff for her to do, and don't stress out about those people on the plane that will give you a dirty look because you are traveling with a little kid.

Dee - That is really exciting for both of you!! I HATE Traveling on a plane, but my advise is take the most direct flight you can.....I know that Chicago offers direct flights from Ohare to Newark.

I hope the traveling goes smoothly for you and you both have a fantastic time!!

thanks girls !!

I purchased a seat for Katie....outrageous to pay I know...but I am thinking she will be easier to occupy that way, with her books, crayons etc.
and we wont have to sit that close to someone else ...lol

I am thinking a juice box and a kid's size bottle of water will be ok to take, and hopefully will have no problems...

we will actually be landing in Philadelphia....the drive will actually be easier than landing in Newark....either way I will be white knuckled the entire time ! LOL......ugh!

I'm sure it will go fine Dee. And it will be well worth any hassle to see your family. We took Cori for the first time when she was 10 months old and it went so much better than I thought it would. We are flying to Memphis (from Seattle) with both kiddos next month. That may be a wild time!
