Awww, thanks, Patty!! DH is taking me out for dinner tonight at a very nice Italian restaurant. I'm feeling a little OLD because I still want another baby, DH isn't ready yet and now I'm 35. So officially, I think I will be high risk if/when I do get pregnant again. I know many people are having babies later in life, so I shouldn't let it bother me so much. Thanks again for remembering me on my b-day.
happy birthday Sacha!!! hope you have a fabulous day!!
Definitely don't worry about being 35 for your next pregnancy....I had just turned 37 when Savannah was born and the perinatologist who did the NT scan told me he doesn't worry (absent other health issues with mom) until 40 and that 35 is just used as "THE" date because it's when risk % for a problem justify the potential risk of an invasive procedure like Amnio...even after 40 the good outcomes greatly outweigh bad ones once out of first trimester. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in being labeled AMA...but honestly I was treated identically to other younger moms throughout my pregnancy with the exception of recommending the NT scan - but a LOT of OBs are now recommending one for all pregnancies regardless of mom's age.
