I am curious what you ladies think about videos and the little ones? I know the AAP says no tv under 2, but I can say that Hayden has learned so much from his videos. It has been extremely beneficial for him with regards to vocabulary and reading, etc. Also, he dances around to the music and just has a lot of fun. So, I am just curious what you ladies think, and if you allow your kids to watch any tv or videos?

When he was little we use to put baby Einstein to entertain him while we did something (take shower, cook dinner). Since he started walking we haven't put them on, since he won't watch them. He watches the Nightly News (with Brian Williams) every night with dh, I don't know how much about the oil spill he is learning, but he's entertain for a bit. We watch tv while he plays around in the living room.

Benjamin doesn't watch too much TV. Just in the morning while he is waking up and Thomas. He LOVES Thomas the Tank Engine. Oh and we watch Backyardigans before he goes to bed. I wish he would watch more TV. It would give me a much needed break LMAO! He is just way to active to sit for any amount of time. My friends two year old can watch a whole disney movie! Somehow I don't think Benjamin will ever be like that. He is a busy bee.
Cori is allowed one movie a day, but didn't start that until after age 2. She watches them in her room so the babies aren't watching too. She usually likes to wake up and watch a movie while eating her yogurt....not a morning person. Getting her up for school might be rough. Juliana doesn't really watch tv, but I will let her watch if Cori is watching "Baby Can Read" videos. We don't have television service so our tv is only on when we're watching movies, which is usually after the kids are asleep.
