Makenna is in a Toddler bed. She moved to the toddler bed on 5/25 -- the same day she broke her arm from crawling out of her crib. So, she was just under 2 (6/18 is her birthday).
Now that I am due in March, I will probably need the mattress of the toddler bed for the crib. We still haven't figured out what the new bed situation is going to be. She will be 3 months away from 3 when the new baby is born, but I might keep the new baby in our room for a while. There are still a LOT of decisions to make about rooms and furniture and who is where.
Sacha - It is quite the puzzle, isn't it? That's how we feel here too. When Toby was born, Juliana wasn't quite ready to leave the crib. He slept in our room for 5 months, and by then she could easily climb right out so she is fully in her toddler bed now. Cori moved to the toddler bed when she was about 2, as well.
Savannah's still in crib, but only because she's rarely in it (awake) long enough to attempt to climb out, she naps on a mat at daycare...we're talking about getting her a toddler bed soon (w/in next couple of months) and I'm thinking about redoing her nursery entirely too as part of it, so may make it a larger project & do it as part of her birthday in Nov....

Thea was 2.5 when we switched to the toddler bed. She had never tried to climb out (it is a big bulky crib) but we thought it would help her stay in bed if she was excited about her big girl bed so we converted it to the toddler bed. It didn't help - lol - but she does like her bed.
