Hello. I just found out that our IVF cycle worked and we are expecting. I went online and found a due date calculator for IVF. It asks for the ER date and when I put that in, it says Nov 24. But when I went to babygaga to put up my chart, it says that by that due date, I am 4 weeks along. My ER was only 2 weeks ago....does the IVF process speed something up or should I use a different date? I'm still waiting for the doc appt to see what they say anyways, but I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen????
Thanks....

When you are not doing IVF, the due date is based of your last cycle start date. But when it comes to IVF, you do have to enter your ER/ET dates but they still add 2 weeks. So even though your ER was only 2 weeks ago you really are 4 weeks along. Does that make sense? I don't understand the concept on why they do that but they do.

The 'average' cycle according to the 'books' is ovulation on CD14. Since pregnancy dates go by the beginning of the last menstral period (CD1), you're considered two wks pg when conception (ovulation/retrieval) actually happens. So at testing time (around 12-14DPO), it would be considered 4 wks pg.

Hope that made sense!
