Hello all! My name is Katharine and was just confirmed by my doctor that I am pregnant. Estimated Due Date of March 18th. It was a total shock. Me and DH had been TTC for 9 months. This past cycle was our first cycle with Clomid. Apparently it took!

I look forward to spending some time here with all of you.....at least the next 8-9 months!

Here is my question. It is a simpleton question, but one I need confirmation on all the same.
Sex this early in the pregnancy is alright.....right?

Congratulations!!! OMG that is so amazing. I'm not a graduate but hope to be soon. My story is very similar to yours. DH and I have been TTC for 8 months this cycle. This is our first month on Clomid and I'm crossing my fingers and praying we have the same result.

Do you mind if I ask you a question...can you tell me why you started taking clomid. I was just curious because I want to compare situations. DH has a kind of low, not that bad but not the best sperm count and my RE put me on 100mg on days 3-7 to see if that helped.

I started taking Clomid because I wasn't ovulating each cycle. The cycle previous to taking Clomid, my Progesterone was low and didn't indicate ovulation. So one cycle in....here are the results. DHs SA came back normal, so we guess that the Clomid was enough to jump start what was already there.

Hello Katharine congrats !!!

This is Rainy and i am a new member of this board.
i will be glad if somebody or you could answer my Q's.

we have been TTc for one year now and for the last 3 months i didn't have any regular period ( i had spotting for more than a month).
But before that i did ovulate for 7/8 month w/ regular P.

So my doc did some bloodwork and found that i lack progesterone. So she put me on provera and then my bleeding stopped (heavy bleeding on last 5days.) then for a week no bleeding . LAst week i again saw spotting and my doc wanted me to start with Clomid on the 5th day.

yesterday was the last day of my clomid dose.

so just wondering when will be the best time to have intercourse?
when willl be my fertile time?

As you mentioned Katharine that you became preg w/the first dose of clomid, when was the fertile time for you just after taking the clomid?

That is something i asked my doc also. We had sex between the start and the 7th week but then my doc told me to pls pls be careful because this was first pregnancy and not to have sex until i reached at least the 14th week and the pregnancy was more stable. After that yes we let things free....not as much as before pregnancy but pretty good just the same I should say go with what your doc and your body says....listen to them both....
