Hello graduates!

Random question: Lipitor is commonly prescribed for lowering cholesteral. My DH is 35 and has been taking Lipitor for 2 years. I have googled the effects of Lipitor on TTC, but haven't found much. Just wondering if anyone had success in conceiving while DH on Lipitor. Were there any m/c?

Not sure but if you're in doubt, you may want to have your dh have a semen analysis. It doesn't cost that much and it's always good to find that kind of stuff out from the get-go. We waited until about 10 months of ttc to have a SA done on dh. Come to find out, a medicine my hubby had been taken for a few years was killing his swimmers. After making a medication switch, we got pregnant within a couple of months.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Kris - I think we'll wait until the 6 month mark (I'm on month #3). My DH is very sensitive and although I have some doubts, I'm not convinced its a problem just yet...and I can't find any internet research to back it up. I mentioned to him that he should call and ask his doctor. Congrats on #2!

Thanks. It is a very sensitive subject, I know. Once we found out that there was a problem, he was sort of in a funk about it. Nothing like a man walking around thinking his swimmers aren't up to par!! So, I understand you waiting. I will tell you that after we found out the #'s from his SA, I felt a huge sense of relief. Almost like there was a reason why we were doing all the right things ttc and nothing was happening.

Good luck!!
