Hi there. I'm currently on 50mg of Clomid days 5-9 because of mild PCOS with polyfollicular ovaries. DH won't get an SA done though so they're only allowing 3 cycles instead of the usual 6. This is my 2nd cycle. Did any of you get a BFP on Clomid? How many cycles did it take? It's the only medication I'm on currently.

I'm not a frequent poster to this board..but I saw Clomid and decided to answer.

I was on 50mg. Clomid days 5-9 and got pregnant on the second cycle. If you can deal with the pain and the bloating and irratibility....then Clomid is great! Madison is now 3 1/2!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks. I really hope it works. This is cycle 13 for us and cycle 14 will be our last assisted so I'm not sure what to do after that.

I am on my first cycle with Clomid...waiting for a positive OPK so we can at the right time. I would love to hear some success stories about Clomid as well.

MandM-Did you do two consecutive cycles? DH travels a lot for work, he'll be leaving for two months here soon, does it make any difference if there is time between cycles? I hope I have the same luck as you. Do you know what percentage of women get pregnant in the first 3 cycles?

Hello! I'm not a poster here as well, but I saw the "success with Clomid" heading and had to come and give you a success story!

I had four miscarriages and was put on Clomid (50 mg) for 4 cycles. For the first three we did timed intercourse and BFN's By the time the fourth cycle was coming around, I was getting pretty ancy, so we decided to do an IUI and stick with 50 mg Clomid. Each cycle I had been ovulating 3 eggs (had an u/s each cycle). The fourth cycle was a SUCCESS!!! A success times two My amazing girls are now 7 months old and I owe it all to Clomid!! I never thought in a million years I would get twins with Clomid ... I mean, for three months I never even got pregnant!!

GOOD LUCK!!

My cycles with Clomid were consecutive. I had tried unsuccessfully for 1 year before my dr. would try it. I had my first pregnancy no problem....then when we started trying for #2..I wasn't o'ing....and then with Clomid....BAM! YEAH!

I wish you ladies lots of luck!

Brand new to this site. can you tell me more about the clomid. Iwent to my dr yesterday and she gave me the rx for it. She wanted to see the results of my progesterone levels 1st though before I start it. Do you know anything about that? Also what am I looking to experience taking clomid? she put me on glucophage already and is now adding the clomid. The glucophage makes me sick but if it helps I'm willing to do it.

Thanks ladies for the stories. It's giving me some hope even if my chart isn't. There's still time for those temps to rise!

Butterfly ~ What the Clomid will do for you depends on your problem. I have polyfollicular ovaries and the follies don't mature problem so if I'm actually O'ing on my own the eggs aren't any good. If you're not O'ing at all then it can help you to O. The specific problem will determine what days you take it. The only side effects I've had on 50mg are hot flashes when I'm actually taking it (just for a few hours after each pill), bloating at O time, and mood swings primarily during the 2WW. The higher the dosage is the more side effects you could experience and the stronger they might be. I hope this helps!
