In September of 07 we got pregnant with #2... and then in November of that same year we went in at exactly 11wks for CVS testing for gender (Mason has hemophilia and I am a carrier, so we were testing to find out if we were having a boy or girl- for boys it's a 50/50 chance they'll have hemophilia), but when we did the ultrasound, sadly we saw that we had lost our sweet baby. I had a missed miscarriage, and had to have a D&C b/c my body was not expelling it. So after the D&C, we tried and tried to conceive with no luck. Finally we broke down at the end of last summer and went to an infertility clinic, ran some tests and he determined I have tubal disease as a result of scarring or infection from my D&C. He said I would probably never conceive on my own again, and then if I did, there was a high risk for a tubal pregnancy... so.... we finally had decided on IVF with PGD and were set to go for a consult in Dallas this Friday. But... God intervened! Last Wednesday I took a pregnancy test after realizing I was a couple of days late, and noticed my nipples were a little sore, which never happens to me. This pregnancy was a total shock to us, and a good one at that! We already did one thing he told us we probably wouldn't be able to do! But then, the risk for ectopic is high b/c my tubes are damaged... but today, I went to my first u/s at 5 wks 1 day and we saw a tiny little sac in my uterus- right where it belongs!
