When to tell???

So we got a BFP and super excited about it, and can't say anything about it. When is a good time to tell family. I was never any good at keeping secrets and i don't know how long i will be able to hold out!! I wanted to wait till the 12 week mark but i don't know!!!! what to do what to do???

It is hard to keep a pregnancy you wanted so bad a secret!

I don't think there is any "good" or "bad" time to tell your family or friends, its up to each individual person to decide whats best for them. Some people look at telling early, as they'd have a support system if something would happen. I told early with my very first pregnancy [ended in a m/c at 6 weeks], second one I waited til 8 weeks to tell immediate family and 12/13 weeks to tell friends. This pregnancy we're waiting til either 9 or 11 weeks.

i just told people last week (at 11 and a half weeks), I wanted to tell SOOOO bad sooner, but I just couldn't because of my previous loss. Everyone is so different though. You have to think: "if I had a loss, would it bother me to tell all these people that I mc'd, or would I rather only my dh and I knew about it?"

People started asking me a couple weeks ago, so I figured that was a sign. I had JUST mc'd a couple weeks before this pregnancy, so the pain was (and is) sooo fresh in my mind.

It is a GREAT feeling to share it though, makes it seem real. I don't know how far along you are. I would personally wait until at least 9 or 10 weeks, but that's just me. When did you have your loss before? (at how many weeks?)

We were holding out at long as we could. We had to tell the kids and others at about 8 weeks cuz I am so sick.

We will wait until after our first ultrasound. Thankfully we are having one early, at 6w6d.

We ended up telling my family right away.... I just wanted my family and a couple close friends of mine to know just in case something was to happen....
