I am 5wks pregnant according to the doctor that did my tubal reversal surgery. I had a lot of positive HPTs June 2nd. I went for blood work at labcorp on the 4th and results came back I'm pregnant. I went to a different doctor closer to home today to have an exam to make sure the baby isn't in my tube. They did a urine test and it came up NEGATIVE!!! The doctor did the exam and said she doesn't feel anything in either of my tubes and my uterus is enlarged. On my way home I bought HPTs and took all of them right away. They all came up POSITIVE! Why would my urine test come up negative at the doctors office and positive with HPT and blood work?

I don't usually post here, but I saw your question. When I went for my urine test at the doctor's office, the line was SO light, but was coming up super dark on my FRER tests at home. It seems that their tests aren't very sensitive.

When my mother found out she was pregnant with me, her HPT said she was pregnant as well, but the Dr's test said negative. Of course a blood test confirmed she actually was pregnant.

Those tests aren't very accurate, and can sometimes take a while to register.

The test that the doctor used could have been less sensitive, faulty, or used incorrectly. As long as you're still getting BFP's at home and your uterus is enlarged don't worry about it.
