I just started trying to make blinkies...but I can't seem to figure out how to make the dots/dashes a fast speed, but the changing words slower. I made this one...but I want the dots to move fast, but not the words.
And another question...it does it on that blinkie as well. whenever I have 3 differnt frames of words, the dots don't seem to move on the last frame...don't know why. any help would be appreciated!!!
Ok, sorry. one more question. I made this glitter text
and I'm trying to figure out how to put it into a siggy...it gives me a message that says "This is an animated GIF. You can only view one frame. Saving over this file will result in a loss of information."
I don't know what that means. thanks for the help ladies!
I use Gimp for my blinkies so I don't know if that will help or not. What I do to keep the dot speed fast but the text slower is to add extra layers. So in gimp I make my background layers then my dot layers. I merge one background layer and one dot layer and continue merging until I get one dot layer on each of the background layers. Then I add my text layer. I duplicate my text layer so I have a text layer on every merged dot/background layer. I then duplicate a few more of the merged dot/background layers moving them so the dots falsh in the correct way. I duplicate the text and add that to the new layers. Then I merge my text layer down into the dot/background layers. I end up with about 6-8 merged text layers for one phrase on the blinkie. I don't merge though until I know I have at least 6-8 layers and duplicated background layers for the next set of phrases. This should also take care of your question about the dots. It may be possible that you have two frames where the dots are in the same place. I can't be sure though, since I am at work and can't see graphics.
I don't have an answer about the glitter text though. Hopefully someone else can answer that.
