Hey girls! I know there are a lot of us with our own businesses, so I thought I'd start a thread where you can post your MONTHLY goals!
It may be a certain amount of money you want to earn, or something that you want to learn more about, or maybe a number of recruits you hop to get, or a number of homeshows, or a number of people to call during the month - WHATEVER!
Just post it here and we can support and encourage one another!
Well I am just starting out as a candle rep (I did it last month and made a little over $100....) and my goal is to have a friend host one party this month to get some income flowing in!
My goal with my mystery shopping is to take it easy for the rest of the month! I'm getting close to being burnt out on it (I've been shopping for several new companies this month that I've never done shops before and it's exhausting learing the ins and outs of all of these companies within a few day timespan!) so that next month I can get out there and get a ton of shops! (I have spring break next month so I'll have an extra week of availability, alright!)
Mine is to...find a job. I had my local WAH job back for a bit, but am no longer a student and because of office politics, had to give it up. (It paid WELL, too!) I have been devouring WAH sites, but haven't found anything that I have the training for, etc. DH is completely supporting us right now on not too much and I'm pregnant, so I need to hop to it!!!

What kind of work history/background/skills do you have? I'll keep an eye out for ya!

Hmmm...I've done a little of everything--I've taught college history, been a secretary, cashier, customer service rep, editing, research, legal summaries, proofreading, catering, data entry, library work (cataloguing, original entries, and more), and other stuff. I'm halfway through a master's degree, but have been taking time off. The job I just lost was legal research and summarizing articles, but they took it away without warning because I'm no longer a student (I think I said that already, sorry). I'm incredibly worried about money and would work outside the home, but I'm on "rest" and will likely be on more intense bedrest eventually...scary.
ANY help would be appreciated. I live in a small town hundreds of miles from any craigslist offerings or most other specific job openings, meaning, I'll need a complete telecommute job. I can learn fast, work fast, etc., but the training might not be an option.
Thanks--I really do appreciate it! (I have a feeling that a lot of my illness is being caused by stress! )

That should be a big help. consider:
a) tutoring HS or college. Let me know if you need help getting started.
B) Freelance writing. Your background would qualify you for a lot-- apply for anything education related; let them tell you you're not qualified!
Try these for a start; I got them at www.poewar.com:

edited to add: sorry, there was a huge crash upstairs before!
Try a lot of the freelance sites, and a lot of the educational textbook publishers. Consider putting a resume on file at www.monster.com, www.careerbuilders.com and www.guru.com. They'll give you a lot of false leads, but I recently got what looks like a GREAT opportunity when someone found my resume and gave me a call.
Good luck-- I'll keep my eyes open!
