Hi! I'm Missy (luckyme) from TX...I'm 35 and have 4 kids.
I'm thinking of opening a daycare (I'm afraid of jumping into anything with out of alot of research). I'm hoping I can get some tips, advice, any info yall can give!
I live in a small town (population around 800)...I've lived here all my life. There is currently no daycare in our town. The one that was here closed due to not enough kids. (I've heard people say they didn't wanna leave their kids there cuz it wasn't very clean...I dunno..)
There are daycare's in the next town over (10 miles is the closest). A coworker of my husbands' has one in that town and makes pretty good money.
I own a home that I was renting out and it will be paid for in a couple months. It's 4 bedroom 2 bath, is on one acre and across the street from the city park. A problem I have considered is a trailer park right down the road that has some questionable people living in it.
I'm wanting to know what yall think...advantages, disadvantages..things to take into considreration and what I need to do should I decide to take this path.
