Does anyone know of some typing jobs that pay and have no start up cost or small amount that are legit?

Legitimate typing jobs are difficult to find. I would say always do your research before going in for something, search Google for reviews of the company. Here are some places you can try:

Work at Home Jobs - free work from home job listing

craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums - Craigslist have a lot of WAH posts appearing. My DH has picked up several writing jobs here.

Legit typing jobs aren't hard to find, but they do have start up costs...like a foot pedal and software if you do transcription work. My start up cost was about $300 but i also made that back in 2-3 days of working so it was well worth it for me personally.

Work at Home Jobs - free work from home job listing if you look under transcription-non medical there's a TON of transcription work there. Just be aware that most require a typing speed of 75-80 wpm.

Give medical transcription a shot, although the job involves a lot more than just typing. You have to be able to understand medical terminology and put it in the right context while transcribing doctor dictations. You should also have an excellent command over the English language.

If you are interested, many schools offer flexible medical transcription training programs that will provide you the essential skills. The start-up cost, including the training, for setting up a medical transcription business is also quite low!
