About oDesk: oDesk is a global marketplace for programmers and technology freelancers, that enables businesses to build and manage remote teams. Using oDesk web-based collaboration tools, project managers can visually track and verify all work performed, both historically and in real-time. For contractors, oDesk offers competitive wages and guaranteed payment for hourly work and the opportunity to work on interesting long- and short-term projects all over the world.
Check it out, it is free to join, you never pay fees, don't EVER pay to "work" for a company!! If you do, it isn't legit. oDesk is the "middleman" between you (the contractor) and the employer, oDesk makes sure you get paid. There is all types of work on there and I am currently working as a Virtual Assistant for a tutoring business and having a blast working from home! If you are going to sign up, I hope you will use my link above, as I get $50 when you earn $1000. Thanx for reading, hope you enjoy!
Hi Mega Super Mommy. This is Nicole from vWorker (formerly Rentacoder). I'm glad to hear you're having so much success at oDesk. Working online has become a lot more easier with sites like these.
Would I be wrong in assuming your success is based on oDesk's hourly jobs? Because oDesk does not enforce escrow (i.e. guarantee payment) for fixed fee projects, I'm guessing its escrowed hourly jobs are most appropriate for you.
Keep up the great work nonetheless. If you ever want to work on fixed fee projects that are protected with both escrow and guarantees, remember there are alternatives.
