Hi I am new to this forum and very excited to be here. I have 2 girls of my own a 2.5 yr old and a 15 month old. I run a very small daycare out of my home. I just started a new boy. He was actually born 9 weeks early. He is 4 months now but looks like he was just born 2 weeks ago!! Today was his first day and every time I put him down he screamed!! It was a very stressful day for me. The mom tells me that he likes to be held a lot and I know she is holding him a lot at home. I did tell her that I will be breaking that as he will have to learn here that he can't be held all the time that it is just impossible. I have 3 other children here on top of my own 2. She also says he won't sleep in a crib only a swing. So my question is how do I break the "not holding him" and when do I try to transition him to a crib which I have here for him? I just want to make this transition easy for him as well as myself!
thanks in advance
